Iran to Build Oil Refinery in Indonesia
03/12/2008

Iran signed an agreement on Tuesday on the setting up of a planned 300,000 barrel per day oil refinery joint venture in Indonesia, together with a Malaysian partner, Iranian officials said.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Indonesian counterpart, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, signed the agreement in a Tuesday meeting in Tehran.

The construction of the refinery, which will use Iran's heavy crude oil as feed, will cost $5-6 billion, said Iranian Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari.
