New Census: Arabs Grew by 19 Million in Two Years, Shortage of Females
07/15/2008

According to a census conducted by the Arab Labor Organization the Arab population reached approximately 338.4 million last year, an increase of 19 million in the last two years.

The report indicated that the declining quality of education and the lack of specialization are causing Arab investment to seek knowledge-based industry abroad, thereby exacerbating the unemployment situation in the region.

The census indicates that males exceed females by 3.4%.
