Syrian-American former U.S. congresswoman Mary Rose Oakar told the Qatari daily Al-Watan that a congress delegation would visit Syria in near future to advance the dialogue between Syria and the U.S. administration.

Oakar does not rule out that the delegation will reassess with the Syrians the issue of the sanctions against Syria.
