Dana Gas of UAE: No Ongoing Discussions with Syria
10/24/2011

The CEO of Dana Gas, the largest private gas company in the Gulf, said that the company was not holding discussions with the Syrian government on investments. In early October, Emarati dailies reported that Dana Gas, with businesses in Iraq and Egypt, was in an advance state of negotiation with the Syrian government.

The CEO, Ahmad Rashed al-'Arbid, said that his company was no longer conducting discussions with the Syrian government in view of the fact that a growing number of foreign companies are reluctant to do business in Syria because of the sanctions on the Syrian government.
